Jim Twerdahl is Managing Director of James S. Twerdahl & Associates a firm focusing on management consulting and investment banking. Consulting practice emphasis is on marketing planning and development, branding, corporate strategic planning and turnaround consulting. JST&A is a middle market and small company investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for entrepreneurial companies.

Mr. Twerdahl has had over 30 years’ experience managing middle market and smaller companies that manufacture technically sophisticated consumer products. He served as president or CEO of several consumer electronics companies:

  • Jensen Sound Laboratories, car audio and home loudspeakers.
  • JBL International and Harman International Industries, consumer and pro audio.
  • Marantz Company, audio and video components.
  • Simtech International, Inc., video camcorders and home security products.

He is currently on the advisory boards of several privately held companies.

He is a graduate in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has been a lecturer in the graduate business schools at USC, UCLA, and Northwestern, and in the fall of 2004 taught a course in Brand and Product Management at Graduate School of Business at Loyola Marymount University.
