Nicholas currently serves as CEO of Bramo Technology (www.bramo.co), a machine learning platform that understands how users consume digital media and how to suggest new recommendations over time. The Bramo Engine allows for mass-consumption of content by understanding that users who might be equally interested in the Ancient Greeks and the Roman Empire might appreciate reading about the Roman Empire more if they read about the Ancient Greeks first.
Nick is most known as the the former CSO and Cofounder of OkCupid Labs after his last startup, DateUp, was acquired by OkCupid/IAC. While at OkCupid Labs, he grew a team of three hackers into nearly thirty engineers and product designers working on a variety of projects for IAC and Match.com. Before founding DateUp, Nick was Resident Scientist for Zoosk and grew the online dating startup to over 50M users and $40M in revenue.
Nick has a background in mathematics, but don’t let that fool you. He spent more time drinking than in a University of Chicago classroom and during his stint at the University of Colorado, he was most likely found snowboarding.
